Day 12

To the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:6
Today the focus of our attention is that the ultimate purpose of our existence is for all creation to praise the glory of God's grace. In the book of Esther, there was a point in which the king desired to display the beauty of his wife, Queen Vashti, so that the nobles of the kingdom would see the greatness of the king's glory. The apostle Paul tells the Corinthian Believers that even as a man's wife is his glory, so human beings are the glory of God, or in other words, the ultimate revelation of the beauty of God made visible.
So, God's purpose for you is to make you beautiful, to pour out upon you every blessing from heavenly places, to perfectly father you, to present you to His precious Son, Jesus, so that in the perfect revelation of His beauty in you, His Name will be praised by all creation forever. It's as though the Lord is asking the created order, "Do you want to see how majestic I am, how wonderful My grace is? Look at this!" Then He shows you off as His beloved son or daughter, the perfected partner for the one Son, Jesus Christ.
As you pray today, ask the Holy Spirit to settle your mind and heart in this reality, that God has created you for His pleasure, to perfectly reveal His beauty to all creation.
Prayer: Lord, help me to get this truth deep into my heart and mind, that I might enjoy You as You enjoy me. Heal the broken places of my heart, so that I might understand and comprehend Your love, which is beyond measure. Thank You, Lord.
