Day 8

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He has made us accepted in the Beloved. Ephesians 1:3-6
For the next few days, we want to focus on the process that the Father set in place in order to bring His chosen Bride tot he reality of the wedding feast in Revelation 19 and 21. The letter from the apostle Paul to the Ephesians is very helpful in giving us some understanding of this. I would encourage you to consider the thoughts i this passage today, and in the following days we'll look at each of the parts.
Notice that this amazing plan is set in place by the Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, as he orchestrates human history for the pleasure of His Son. See that He has given us all the resources we need- every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places- in order for us to fulfill His purposes for our lives. COnsider that the end result has been established in God's mind and heart from before the beginning of time; therefore, your destiny is secure in His love. Understand that His whole point is to include us in His own family by the acceptable activity of jesus, so that our hope rests completely in Him.
Keep in mind that, in the heart of God, this whole process of redemption is for the purpose of making the wedding feast a reality for His Son. As you pray today, give thanks that you have been included by the will of God, and that His desire is focused upon you as part of His beloved family.
Prayer: Father, I ask that today You would strengthen my heart in the knowledge of Your definition of my life, and the purpose for which You have created me and redeemed me. Thank You for making me part of Your family, so that my life will bring pleasure to You forever. I worship You, Father, and give You thanks.
