Day 19

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in Heaven and Earth is named, that He would grant you, according tot he riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height- to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:14-19
As we consider this passage over the next few days, there are several points of focus that will draw to your attention. There is a wonderful and natural progression of revelation that is put forward here, beginning with the loving Father who sends Hid Spirit for the purpose of strengthening our hearts. The reason that our hearts need strength is to empower us to receive the presence of Jesus inside, establishing us in the love of the Father. In the context of this seedbed of unconditional love, we grow up into the ability to know the full love of Christ, a love that is incomprehensible apart from the power of God.
The end result of this process is beyond imagination- the knowledge of the love of Christ that fills us with all the fullness of God. This is an unbelievable statement, one of those things that, were it not in the Bible, would sound like heresy. The fact is that God has some things in store for us that will boggle our minds. Fix your heart on these things and ask the Holy Spirit to prepare you to consider them over the next few days.
Prayer: Jesus, my heart is overwhelmed at who You are and who You say that I am. send me Your Holy Spirit and open my heart to understanding, for I deeply desire to know the things You have for me, together with all the saints. Thank You, Jesus.
